PETERBOROUGH, ONTARIO, CANADA-Noblegen Inc. (“Noblegen”) — Noble Tech Inc. is expanding the scope of its business, reaching into new high-value markets and delivering inspired biological solutions for some of the world’s greatest problems. To better reflect the breadth of its products, Noble Tech Inc. has changed its name to Noblegen. The company’s former divisions, Noble Purification and Noble Biotechnologies, have been unified under the new corporate brand.

Following impressive research discoveries out of Trent University and successfully completing the scale up of their water purification system in the spring of 2016, Noble is now able to focus on diversifying its product offering.“We’re no longer a company that only treats water or makes products from algae,” explained Adam Noble, CEO and founder.

“We are a company that is using microorganisms in a new way to produce biomaterials and biochemicals for a wide range of consumer and industry sector.”

Noblegen’s difference is based on a unique single platform technology which gives the company the ability to more efficiently, economically, and flexibly develop ground-breaking bioproducts derived from microorganisms. This platform is a breakthrough for the biotechnology industry.“We are currently developing products for early entry into the food and beverage markets, and eyeing applications for nutritional supplements and cosmetics,” Mr. Noble said. “With our more sustainable, natural and vegetarian protein, dietary fibre and oils, we are addressing some of the world’s largest food supply challenges. Long-term, we intend to pursue the development of novel products for applications in animal nutrition, biochemical and bio-pharmaceutical markets.”The company has experienced rapid growth since the beginning of the year, expanding from six employees to a current staff of sixteen. Noblegen has succeeded in attracting individuals to Peterborough with expertise in engineering, trades, chemistry, biology as well as business acumen in finance accounting, strategy and market development. Furthermore, the company has recruited Trent University graduates, consistent with the company’s policy of supporting the local economy.

The company will soon announce the results of a private equity raise of capital to support future expansion. Further details about the raise of capital and the related future plans will be unveiled later this fail.
